Studio Policies & Contact Information
Every business has policies to keep communication clear and put everyone on the same page about how things will work. This agreement is between STUDIO NAME, (“I” and “me”), and the client signing the document (“you”).
Please carefully read this document, then sign it to indicate you've read and agree to follow these policies.
YOU'RE BOOKING A BOUDOIR SESSION
You are booking a boudoir session. That means you will be photographed in lingerie and likely nude, and posed in provocative ways. It is likely that I will touch you to adjust your clothing and hair or to direct a pose. I will probably see you with no clothes on.
There will be absolutely no sexual activity allowed during your session. If any sexual activity occurs, your session will be terminated immediately and you forfeit your session fee with no opportunity for rescheduling.
I retain the right to stop your session at any point without refund if I feel my safety, your safety or that of my contractors is threatened.
YOU'RE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD
You must be 18 to do a boudoir session with me. You will provide your birthday at the end of this form for my records.
SESSION FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE
The session fee is non-refundable once you've paid it to book your session. If you cancel your appointment for any reason, fail to reschedule a confirmed appointment per the rescheduling policy above, or fail to show for your appointment, you will forfeit your entire session fee not as a penalty but as payment toward unanticipated losses I may incur ("liquidated damages").
RESCHEDULING POLICY: AT LEAST 14 DAYS NOTICE TO AVOID FEE**
You may reschedule your boudoir session appointment 1 time with at least 14 days notice before your session date without penalty as long as your new appointment falls no more than 31 days after your original appointment.
If you ask to reschedule your appointment with less than 14 days notice before your session date, you may need to pay rescheduling fee up to the amount of the session fee to book a new date. This rescheduling fee is not a penalty but as payment toward unanticipated losses I may incur ("liquidated damages")
Should I need to reschedule your appointment for any reason and within any time frame, I will apply your session fee to your new date without penalty.
Should I need to cancel your appointment, I will refund your session fee in the manner it was paid, and you will receive your refund according to the policies and practices of that payment manner (ie, my credit card processor or bank).
PLEASE CONTACT ME ASAP IF YOU'RE RUNNING LATE TO ANY APPOINTMENT
Thanks in advance for being respectful of my time. Start times for all appointments are firm. Please let me know by phone or text with as much advance notice as possible if you are running late.
Boudoir Sessions: More than 20 minutes late, your session may be shortened by excluding an outfit without refund. More than 30 minutes late, your session is cancelled without refund.
Ordering Appointments: More than 30 minutes late, and we must reschedule your appointment, and that new appointment must fall within 21 days of your session date. No call/no show, your photos will be deleted within 48 hours without refund.
HAIR AND MAKEUP ARTISTRY ARE INCLUDED AND REQUIRED
In-studio makeup and hair styling services are required for Signature Boudoir Sessions and in-studio makeup service is required for Mini Sessions. The cost of these services is included in the session fee. If you decide not to use my licensed hair and makeup professionals, your session fee remains the same. Tipping your stylist is not required but certainly is appreciated ($15-$30 is a good range).
YOU WILL APPROVE YOUR STYLING BEFORE PHOTOGRAPHY BEGINS
You are responsible for choices in wardrobe, makeup and hairstyle. Please be sure to tell me if you'd like anything changed with your hair and makeup before your stylist leaves the studio and anything changed with outfits before we start shooting. No refunds or reshoots are available if you dislike your styling or outfits in your final photographs.
I DON'T PHOTOGRAPH COSTUMES OR PROPS
With rare exception, I do not photograph costumes or props in your session. This includes fishnet dresses, feather boas, Halloween-styled costumes, baseball bats, snowboards or other items. I do photograph personal items, such as dog tags, that “make sense” with your outfit and the studio environment.
NO WEAPONS ALLOWED IN THE STUDIO, EVEN AS A PROP
I do not allow weapons of any kind, including but not limited to firearms and knives, on my business premises. If you have a concealed-carry permit, I kindly request that you leave your weapon locked in your vehicle.
AVOID SPRAY OR SELF TANNING WITHIN 7 DAYS OF YOUR SESSION
I prefer that you do not tan at all for your session. Should any tanning agent cause damage to studio props, linens, furniture or other items you will be liable for the cost of repairing or replacing those items.
Heads up: You will likely look oompa-loompa orange at worst and muddy-skinned at best, and bringing your skin color back to normal requires an additional per-image editing fee.
I SHOW YOU ONLY MY FAVORITE PHOTOS
Deciding which photos to show you is part of my artistic process. The number of images and specific images presented is at my discretion. I do not release "raw" or unedited images.
RETOUCHING: YOU WILL LOOK LIKE A HUMAN BEING ... & BEWARE TAN LINES
I use a professional photo editor for my boudoir portraits. We do not take 10+ pounds off of you or 10+ years off of you.
~ What is removed completely: Bruises, blemishes, scratches
~ What is softened: Cellulite, stretch marks, spider veins, tan lines, skin folds, skin texture, wrinkles, under eye circles
~ What costs extra per image: Tattoo removal, complete removal of tan lines, fake tan color correction, body modification. Per-image fees start at $10 and can range as high as $50 depending on the extent of the work you request.
YOU WILL PURCHASE PRODUCTS AT YOUR ORDERING APPOINTMENT WITHIN 21 DAYS OF YOUR SESSION
The total cost of your product order is due in full at your ordering appointment. I accept payment in cash and credit/debit card. I do not accept personal checks.
If you choose not to attend an ordering appointment within 21 days of your boudoir session, your photos will be deleted unless we've made other arrangements. If you choose not to place an order at this appointment, your photos will be deleted.
Products and prices may change at any time and without notice. I collect Colorado combined sales tax on all product orders.
ALL SALES ARE FINAL
No refunds or order changes are available once you've placed your order. No refunds are available if you decide to remove images from your album during the approval process. No parts of your order may be cancelled once placed.
VIRTUAL ORDERING APPOINTMENTS: TECH REQUIREMENTS
To do a virtual ordering appointment, you must have access to the following equipment and services at your appointment time.
* A computer (no phones or tablets)
* A microphone/speakers/headset
* High-speed Internet service that allows you to stream video without lagging
If you do not have access to this equipment and services, you may either come back to the studio to order (21-day time frame applies) or purchase the full digital collection and select photos for an album and other printed pieces by giving me image numbers.
YOU MAY GIVE ME PERMISSION TO SHOW YOUR PHOTOS ... OR NOT
You get to choose how I may or may not share your boudoir photos on a separate agreement called a Permission Slip. There is no advantage for giving me permission nor penalty for not giving me permission to share your portraits. Your permission is fully revocable in writing.
If you decide to revoke permission, I am responsible for removing images only from the places I have posted them. If I have created physical studio samples with your images, you may choose to either allow me to keep using them or reimburse my costs for creating them to ensure they are destroyed.
I'm not responsible for the actions of third parties. I am not responsible for any personal or professional harm that results from your images being shown publicly.
COPYRIGHT: WHAT YOU CAN AND CANNOT DO WITH YOUR PHOTOS
All photographs produced during your photography session are protected by US Copyright Law. That means as the creator of the images, I am the owner of the original art, and you have purchased copies of this art and/or a license for personal use and reproduction of any digital formats.
Any reproduction of my work, including taking screenshots during your ordering appointment or taking photos of finished items with the intent to publish, distribute or recreate the photos in print, without my permission, is not allowed. Any unauthorized alteration of your portraits (cropping, changing colors, adding filters, editing in any software) is not allowed. Each of these acts is a violation of Copyright Law and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
ALL ABOUT PRODUCT DELIVERY
Unless we make other arrangements, you will return to my studio to pick up all of your products at once. If you opt to have your products shipped directly to you, you must notify me within 24 hours of the shipper's delivery time stamp of any issues in your order.
* Direct shipping is available SIGNATURE REQUIRED at no cost if you live outside the Denver-Boulder metro area (for example, Colorado Springs or Fort Collins), or at cost if you live outside the contiguous United States.
* Local delivery is available SIGNATURE REQUIRED for Denver-Boulder metro area clients for an additional shipping or delivery charge. Albums and wall art will require separate shipping and handling charges, starting at $25 per item.
DIGITAL IMAGES: USAGE AND STORAGE
If you purchase digital images, you will receive a print release that allows you to print your images up to 8 x 12 inches.
Your images are for your private use--no commercial use is granted. Be sure to copy your images from your flash drive to your computer, then back them up to the cloud or another secure place.
I do not guarantee to save and store your images beyond the time your order is delivered to you. I may delete them from my system at any time and without notice.
LIMIT OF LIABILITY
In the unlikely event that your photographs are lost, stolen destroyed for reasons beyond my control before your product order is placed, I will photograph you again if possible. If a reshoot is not possible, my liability is limited to the return of all payments you’ve made to me minus any costs I've incurred. My liability shall not exceed payments you've made. I will refund you in the manner it was paid, and you will receive your refund according to the policies and practices of that payment manner (ie, my credit card processor or bank).
This agreement between STUDIO NAME, and the client, named below is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado. Any disputes will be handled through mediation.
I have read and accept the terms and conditions stated above. I am legally allowed to enter into binding contracts.
